After the year we’ve just had, it’s safe to say we’re all looking forward to starting fresh and starting anew in 2021. We’re not trying to push our luck by adding crazy things like “Travel More” or “No Sugar” to our resolutions, but we’ve compiled a list of a few things we’re planning on being more intentional about working into our schedule this year, and a few ways you can join in too.
More Fitness: 2020 had us moving from the couch to the fridge and calling it cardio, but 2021 has us suiting up in our feel-good workout attire and heading to Club Pilates’ for some low-impact, full-body workouts that are as good for our minds as they are for our bodies. Not sure if you’ll be a fan? Book a free intro class for a committment-free way to give it a try.
More Adventure Seeking: While the extent of last year’s adventure was learning to make artisan bread from scratch, this year our sourdough starters are already going strong and we’re ready to add some outdoor excitement to our lives. Whether your version of adventure includes fishing, hiking, camping, running, or picking up a new sport, Dick’s Sporting Goods is a great first stop to make sure you’ve got all you need for any escapade that comes your way.
More Time with Family: As small of a thing as it may be, true luxury is sitting down with people you love for a meal you didn’t have to cook, and we’ll for sure be treating ourselves to more of this in 2021. Whether you’re dining or picking up to-go orders curbside, we’ve got options to fit every taste from Tokyo Joe’s to Noodles & Co.
More Unplugging: If you spent 2020 with your face glued to a screen, you’re not alone. This year we’re carving out time to silence the phone, shut the laptop, power down the tablet, turn off the TV, and snuggle up with a new bestseller or two from Barnes & Noble.
More Outdoor Family Activities: Getting the whole crew off the couch and into the fresh air at least once a week is the #goals we’re determined to hit this year. The trick is to find activities that everyone can get excited about like an evening spent practicing your twirls and speed skating at The Pond followed by warming your toes at the Southlands’ fire pit.
